Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Don Rhodes
Dear Patients of Dr. Rhodes,
With deep sadness, we share that our beloved father, Dr. Don Rhodes, OD, passed away in July 2025. We know that many of his patients were more than just patients—they were friends, some of longstanding relationships. We mourn this loss together with you.
Dad dedicated his life to providing exceptional eye care and building meaningful relationships with his patients. His commitment to the community and his passion for optometry left a lasting impact on everyone he met. His legacy is one of compassion, excellence, and unwavering dedication to patient care.
It was our father's heartfelt wish that his patients continue their care with Blink Optometry. Blink is served by three doctors: Dr. Kristi Davis, Dr. Jody Bickford, and Dr. Luke Page. Dad knew each of these doctors for many years, trusted them completely, and believed Blink Optometry shares his own commitment to relationships and community. One especially meaningful full-circle moment for us is that Dr. Luke Page was once a patient of our father—and it was that early care and inspiration that sparked Dr. Page’s own love for optometry. Like our father, Blink values personal connection and quality care—and, as a locally owned small business, they are deeply rooted in our community.
All patient records and information have been transferred to Blink, who are the custodian of the charts. Blink Optometry accepts many of the same insurance plans, including Medicare, Blue Shield, Blue Cross, VSP, EyeMed, and they are a community provider for the Veterans Administration. This is a difficult and emotional time for all of us, but we take comfort in knowing that our father's legacy of care and community will live on through Blink Optometry.
